Bargue Plate 16

A woman's dimpled hand. The line drawing was tough, but I was determined to get it as close as possible to the original. Shading was pleasant, even relaxing; the values are delicately nuanced and I didn't have to spend hours scratching back and forth trying to cover any large dark areas. I used mostly 2H and 2B pencils with some 4B at the end for selective darkening. It took about 40 hours, most of which I spent erasing and redoing the line drawing. Looking forward to the next plate - the arm!
