Bargue Plate 23

A man's flexed arm. I did the line drawing about a month ago, then put it aside to focus on end-of-term schoolwork. I've spent the past few days happily immersed in Bargue, six or seven hours a day, and am satisfied with the light areas in particular. It was a bit of a chore to hover the 2H delicately over the paper, especially to stop my hand from trembling, but I didn't need to do much erasing. Now that spring is finally here, I'm going to lessen up on Bargue and focus on flowers. This year, I'm determined not to miss the Trout Lily; last year, it had a two-week season and just when I had decided to draw one, they all vanished overnight in a freak snowstorm!
